Though we may not have the Big Five, we proudly host the Small Five—fascinating creatures that contribute to the unique biodiversity of the region. From the majestic Southern Pale Chanting Goshawk (Segodi) to elusive leopards and cheetahs, our game drives promise unforgettable wildlife encounters.
In addition, Segodi Game Ranch is home to a rare and remarkable species—the Scimitar Oryx, which is extinct in the wild throughout its native Saharan range. We are proud to have a thriving population of 8 Scimitar Oryx at our lodge, and we are actively working to breed and preserve this magnificent antelope, contributing to global conservation efforts.

Our sandveld is home to an array of game species, including common duiker, steenbuck, bushbuck, warthog, impala, blesbuck, red hartebeest, blue wildebeest, gemsbuck, kudu, zebra, waterbuck, eland, giraffe, and ostrich. Guests may also encounter elusive predators like leopard, cheetah, brown hyena, caracal, aardwolf, African civet, bat-eared fox, and black-backed jackal.
